NFA Item Policies

Purchase Process

Bobcat Armament requires all NFA items to be paid in full before any serial numbers are assigned and/or paperwork started.

Form 3 Process: Once an item is paid in full, customer will be required to provide Bobcat Armament with FFL and SOT of a transferring dealer in their state of residence. Customer will have 30 days to provide such information, with any day after 30 days, up until the day of customer's return, subject to a $1/day storage fee. Bobcat Armament reserves the right to suspend this storage fee for extenuating circumstances. Once the customer supplies us with all necessary transfer information, Bobcat Armament will generate the Form 3 and submit to the NFA Branch.

Once the paperwork is submitted and received by the NFA Branch, your Form 3 will be advanced to a "pending" status. It will remain in that status until it proceeds an "approved" status, and shortly after that we (Bobcat Armament) will receive the approved form and will ship said item to the transferring dealer. You will receive a shipment notification with tracking information from Bobcat Armament once the shipping label is generated. Bobcat Armament will provide the transferring dealer with the customer's contact information so they can contact you for further instructions once the item arrives. At this point, Bobcat Armament is no longer involved with the transfer of the item, and any/all additional fees for transfer/storage are between you and your transferring dealer.

Form 4 Process: Once an item is purchased by a customer, that customer will be required to complete their fingerprinting process on our in house kiosk or return to Bobcat Armament with all necessary photographs/fingerprint cards/trust paperwork/responsible person questionnaires/etc within 30 days of payment. Any day after 30 days, up until the day of customer's return, will be subject to a $1/day storage fee. Bobcat Armament reserves the right to suspend this storage fee for extenuating circumstances. Once the customer returns with all necessary documents, Bobcat Armament will generate the Form 4, and with the customer still present, obtain and verify all paperwork and signatures are appropriate and accounted for. Bobcat Armament will collect an $8 shipping charge if mailing the paperwork to the ATF on the customer's behalf. This charge would not apply to electronic submission. Tracking information will then be present in our system for tracking purposes as well as verification of submission. Tracking information is available at customer's request.

Once the paperwork is submitted and received by the NFA Branch, your Form 4 will be advanced to a "pending" status. It will remain in that status until it proceeds an "approved" status, and shortly after that we (Bobcat Armament) will receive the approved application and contact the customer so they can pick up their item. In the rare occurrence of a paperwork error, Bobcat Armament will contact the customer for any information needed to fix the error, and return corrected paperwork to the ATF. Errors do not cause a delay in stamp approval as long as the paperwork is returned in the time specified by the ATF on the cover letter received with the error notification.

 

Status Updates

If customer would like to obtain status updates on their submitted form(s), they can call they NFA Branch directly for an update at (304) 616-4500. You will need to have your item's serial number to get status information.

 

Cancellations/Refunds

Bobcat Armament has a 25% restocking fee that is retained when canceling an item purchased at regular price that is canceled within the first 30 days of purchase and only if no ATF paperwork has been submitted for this order. Once transfer paperwork has been submitted to ATF (Form 3 and/or Form 4, Form 5), Bobcat Armament is not able to cancel the transaction. All items on sale are final and no refund is available.

You can request a refund of your order, purchased at regular price and when no ATF paperwork has been submitted, within 30 days of purchase. If you choose to request a refund, you will receive a refund of the purchase price less the 25% restocking fee.

Our return policy lasts only 30 days from the purchase of an item. If more than 30 days have gone by since you have purchased your item, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund.  Please be aware, ATF approvals can take six months or longer.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Only orders with no ATF paperwork submitted may be refunded. Any item sold at less than its original price is not eligible for a refund. Sale items cannot be refunded.
