Purchase Process:
At Bobcat Armament, all NFA items must be paid in full before any serial numbers are assigned and paperwork is initiated.
Form 3 Process:
Upon full payment, the customer must provide Bobcat Armament with the Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Special Occupational Tax (SOT) information of a transferring dealer in their state of residence. This information must be provided within 30 days of purchase. If the customer fails to provide this information within the specified timeframe, a $1 per day storage fee will be applied until the required information is received. Bobcat Armament reserves the right to waive this storage fee under extenuating circumstances. Once all necessary transfer information is supplied, Bobcat Armament will generate the Form 3 and submit it to the NFA Branch.
After submission, your Form 3 will enter a "pending" status. It will remain in this status until it advances to "approved." Once approved, Bobcat Armament will receive the form and ship the item to the transferring dealer. You will be notified with a shipment confirmation and tracking details once the shipping label is generated. Bobcat Armament will also provide your contact information to the transferring dealer for further coordination. At this stage, Bobcat Armament's involvement in the transfer process concludes, and any additional fees for transfer or storage are the responsibility of you and your transferring dealer.
After submission, your Form 3 will enter a "pending" status. It will remain in this status until it advances to "approved." Once approved, Bobcat Armament will receive the form and ship the item to the transferring dealer. You will be notified with a shipment confirmation and tracking details once the shipping label is generated. Bobcat Armament will also provide your contact information to the transferring dealer for further coordination. At this stage, Bobcat Armament's involvement in the transfer process concludes, and any additional fees for transfer or storage are the responsibility of you and your transferring dealer.
Form 4 Process:
Once you purchase an NFA item, you will need to complete the fingerprinting process on our in-house kiosk or return to Bobcat Armament with all necessary documents (photographs, fingerprint cards, trust paperwork, responsible person questionnaires, etc.) within 30 days of payment. Failure to provide these documents within the 30-day period will result in a $1 per day storage fee until the documents are submitted. Bobcat Armament reserves the right to suspend this fee under extenuating circumstances. Once all required documents are submitted, Bobcat Armament will generate the Form 4. With the customer present, we will verify that all paperwork and signatures are in order. If the paperwork is being mailed to the ATF on your behalf, an $8 shipping charge will apply. This charge does not apply to electronic submissions. Tracking information will be recorded in our system for monitoring purposes and can be provided upon request.
After submission, your Form 4 will enter a "pending" status and will remain there until it is approved. Once approved, Bobcat Armament will contact you to arrange the pickup of your item. In the rare event of a paperwork error, Bobcat Armament will reach out to you to correct the issue and promptly resubmit the paperwork to the ATF. As long as the corrected paperwork is returned within the timeframe specified by the ATF, it should not delay the approval process.
After submission, your Form 4 will enter a "pending" status and will remain there until it is approved. Once approved, Bobcat Armament will contact you to arrange the pickup of your item. In the rare event of a paperwork error, Bobcat Armament will reach out to you to correct the issue and promptly resubmit the paperwork to the ATF.
